August 30, 2023, my friend and college classmate will be under going radio active chemotherapy for his metastatic cancer and not feeling well, I prayed for him in person with some of our friends and he and his wife were so thankful that I prayed for him.

Also, on August 30, Erna and I picked up a former college classmate to meet with other friends for birthday celebration. We shared God’s love, goodness, mercy and encouraged her to continue her walk with the Lord. She just had car accident few days before and her car was totaled.

Our neighbor was going out of town for 10 days and asked me to check their mailbox daily. While they were gone, Tropical Storm Hilary arrived. My husband and I informed them about it and asked permission to enter their backyard to wrap up their entire toolshed with extra large black plastic bags + rolls of duct tape to prevent the small and medium sized items from flying all over the place in case of strong winds.

We had a block party that had a number of people from the community come to our campus and enjoy music, games, and food!

Cooked diner for about 200 residents at the Pomona Hope for Home shelter

This week at the checkout stand at the store, I gave the cashier one of our LANDMARK business card-type invites and invited her to come check us out.

A grocery clerk told me she was retiring. It was her last day on the job after 42 years with the same employer! I left the grocery store, bought her some chocolates, slipped a Landmark Loveshare card in the candy bag, and returned to give her a retirement blessing from God (and Landmark)!
